BIODATA

 

Professor (Dr.) Sarvajeet Yadav, has born and brought up in a rural family of a small village from Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. He has completed his B.V.Sc. and A H, M.V.Sc., and PhD in the year 1988, 1990 and 1997 respectively from College of Veterinary Science and AH, Mathura. He started his career as assistant Professor in 1991, promoted to Associate Professor and Professor in the year 2000 and 2008 respectively. He has a vast experience of 33 years teaching, research, extension and almost 20 years of administrative experiences in the capacity of Director Extension, Director Para-veterinary Institute, Head of the Department, Additional Director Research, Estate officer, Care taker NCC officer and hostel Superintendent.

He has guided three Ph.D. and eight M.V.Sc. and has been Co-guide for four M.V.Sc. students, who worked in the area of semen biology and has been nominated in research advisory board for more than 20 students of their research work.  His research area is semen biology and adaptation physiology. He has published more than 87 research papers in different international and nation journals, 8 scientific books and associated with Pashudhan Patrika of the university as founder Chief Editor for 8 years.

He has been part of several extramural and institutional researches, extension and infrastructure development projects and mustered more than Rs.25 crores. Under his leadership, one of the best research infrastructures has been developed in Veterinary Physiology department in the area of Semen Biology Ovum pickup, IVF, Embryo Transfer Technology and Bio-climatology. His research group has translated the research finding by establishing a semen production and analysis laboratory for goat semen. His extensive research on semen biology resulted in formulation of dilutor for cryopreservation and cryo-banking of buck semen for Artificial Insemination (AI). The center has trained more than 500 veterinarians, more than 600 para-veterinary staff and more than 3000 farmers in artificial insemination in goats and goat farming. The center is supplying semen to 14 different states of the country.

He has developed the model of “Pashu Gyan Chaupal” for extension activities in Veterinary and Animal Sciences. Under his leadership more than five NGOs had been signed for sharing the technology and its dissipation adoption to farming community in the area of AI in goats and goat farming. He has been course director in more than 60 capacity building training programs for faculty, Veterinary Officers, Para-veterinary Staff, Farmers and publishes 10 training manuals (Both in English and Hindi).

He has been part of the academic councils, selection board and external examiners of different state Universities, ASRB, and advisor to UPSC New Delhi. Professor,Yadav contributed immensely to maintain the high standard of veterinary education at both under graduate and post graduate levels. He has been awarded Fellow of Animal Physiologist Association (APA) 2022,   and National Academy of Dairy Science (India), 2024

Under his leadership, department of veterinary Physiology has received the best department award of the university in two consecutive year 2022 & 2023,
