New infrastructure development

The Uttar Pradesh Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan, Mathura came into existence on Oct. 25, 2001, by an Act of Govt. of Uttar Pradesh (Act No. 27 of 2001) and the Veterinary College, Mathura became its first constituent College.
The objectives and mandate of the University are:

  • to impart  quality education  in Veterinary  and allied sciences;
  • to undertake need-based and basic research; and
  • to provide extension services to disseminate the research findings and knowledge to farmers and livestock owners.
         


The new Veterinary University, in addition to the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, will have the following faculties which would be started in a phased manner:

  • College of - Fisheries
  • College of - Biotechnology
  • College of - Livestock Products Technology
  • College of - Animal Industry and Business Management
  • College of - Postgraduate studies



The building construction work for these colleges is almost complete (Photos to be hyperlinked) and in near future these college would be manned, equipped and furnished properly for the teaching to begin for respective degree/diploma courses.



KASTURBA HOSTAL (For Boys & Girls)



The University has four well-ventilated, neat and clean hostals for boys---  three for undergraduate, one for post graduate students and two hostals for girl students. Each hostal is having common room facilities with coloured television, newspapers and magazines for table tennis, carom etc and corporative and contractual mess. Students recieve milk from the University dairy farm at subsidized rates. Girls hostals are having 24 hours internet facilites as well. The hostals are managed by Hostal Superintendents under the supervision of Dean Students Welfare.
